My passion as an Christian artist is to render biblical themes and passages in relief. Whenever I get the opportunity to illustrate a passage of scripture in wood I consider it a special blessing.

The words of scripture are powerful enough on their own to set people free from bondage, to renew minds, to break cycles and otherwise change lives in ways that nothing else can. Yet, when these words are combined with images it seems their power increases. There is truth in both these statements: "Sometimes an image is worth a thousand words" and "Sometimes it takes a thousand images to illustrate a single word". A thousand words might come close to describing a spectacular sunset. Yet is is more challenging to illustrate "Love", "Joy", "Peace", "Forgiveness", "Mercy" with a single image.

Each of the images below is an attempt to illustrate a passage of scripture. Some are straightforward illustration of events, but others are deeper attempts to illustrate the revelation that is implicit in scriptures.
