Landscapes
The greater challenge in landscape carving is to find a way to compress the depth of field into manageable layers. The lesser challenge is to create realistic perspective within the available depth.
The great range of possibilities presented by the landscape motif make this an exciting carving genre. Seascapes, mountain ranges, prairie scenes, forests and even underwater habitat are all within the reach of the relief carver.
